JOHANNESBURG - While Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir remains under police guard in hospital, a former employee accused of plotting to kill him will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court this morning.

Former Money Point employee Brendan Harrison was arrested earlier this year for conspiring to kill Krejcir.

The Czech has survived two attempts on his life over the past few months and was arrested last week on charges of kidnapping and assault.

Harrison is due to find out whether the Director of Public Prosecutions has decided to proceed with the case against him or to throw the charges out.

Harrison's lawyer has raised concerns about discrepancies in the state's case against him.

He has been in jail since August and was denied bail as investigators believed his life would be at risk if he was not kept in custody.

Harrison is accused of plotting to kill Krejcir but says he received death threats while working for the Czech and fled the country as a result.
