Gould fined and suspended
Morgan Gould has been charged with assaulting Bidvest Wits player Getaneh Kebede.
JOHANNESBURG - Morgan Gould has been charged with assaulting Bidvest Wits player Getaneh Kebede.
The Kaizer Chiefs player met with the PSL Disciplinary Committee (DC) last night where his fate was handed down to him.
Gould pleaded guilty to the charge.
He was fined R100,000 of which R50,000 was suspended for 12 months, on condition that he's not found guilty of a similar offence.
He was also suspended for two matches with immediate effect.
The assault on Kebede took place on 9 November when Gould punched the Wits man in the face.
He has been ordered to write a formal apology letter to Kebede within seven days.
The content of the letter will be published on the PSL website.
In addition, Gould was ordered to personally pay for the costs of the DC sitting and Chiefs must submit proof of payment of the club's internal fine on the player within seven days.
The ruling means Gould will miss his team's encounter against Polokwane City tonight at FNB Stadium and also this weekend's clash against Free State Stars.
