NFD qualifications line-up announced

JOHANNESBURG - The draw for the National First Division qualification competition has taken place and the pick of the fixtures will see Santos host Chippa United.

The 16-team competition attempts to determine the top eight clubs that will qualify for the Nedbank Cup last 32.

The Nedbank Cup last 32 stage features 16 Premier Division teams, eight NFD teams and eight teams from the SAFA structures.

The draw in full sees:

  • FC Cape Town host Baroka FC.

  • Vasco Da Gama travel to African Warriors.

  • Roses United face United FC.

  • Black Leopards and Blackburn Rovers go head-to-head.

  • Santos FC host Chippa United.

  • Milano United will be at home against Jomo Cosmos.

  • Witbank Spurs and Maluti FET College host Sivutsa Stars and Thanda Royal Zulu respectively.

The National First Division Qualification competition takes place on 11 December.

United FC were the highest placed NFD team in the Nedbank Cup last season.

They reached the semi-final of the competition but lost to Kazier Chiefs.
