‘Krejcir’s family have fled SA’
Paul O’Sullivan says Radovan Krejcir’s wife and sons are in Argentina.
JOHANNESBURG - Security consultant Paul O'Sullivan says Czech businessman Radovan Krejcir's wife and two sons have fled South Africa and are currently in Argentina.
O'Sullivan says the three left the country on Wednesday night.
However, there has been no comment from police on the validity of O'Sullivan's claim.
The Czech fugitive was arrested at his Bedfordview home on Friday.
O'Sullivan says Krejcir was planning to join his family in South America later on Saturday.
"His wife and two sons left on Wednesday evening. I spoke to them yesterday late afternoon and at that stage they were already in Buenos Aires."
Meanwhile, National Police Commissioner Riah Phiyega has still refused to disclose the location where Krejcir is being held.
The identity of the police station where he is being detained has not been revealed to the public for security reasons.
He will face charges of kidnapping, assault and attempted murder when he appears in the Alberton Magistrates Court on Monday.
Phiyega says the police have also arrested one of Krejcir's associates.
"This is following an intensive investigation by a multi-disciplinary team of the South African Police Services which led to the arrest that happened last night.
