CAPE TOWN - The investigation into the disappearance of missing four-year-old Shaskia Michaels has now entered its 11th week.

The little girl from Mitchells Plain went missing in September.

She was last seen playing with friends outside her home in Tafelsig.

Her grandfather says the only thing he wishes for this Christmas is to have her back home.

He says the family is so desperate to have the little girl back in their lives they're willing not to press charges against her kidnappers if they return her.

He says he strongly believes his granddaughter is still alive.

While police have questioned several suspects in connection with her disappearance, they are still no closer to establishing what could have happened to her.

Shaskia is the neighbour of another missing girl, five-year-old Kauthar Bobbs, who was last seen a year ago.
