CAPE TOWN - Sasol says its new brand of diesel will help reduce carbon emissions.

The Sasol Turbo-diesel, which is only available in Gauteng and Mpumalanga at this stage, contains a lower sulphur content.

The company's Mohamed Carrim says the new diesel will bring the country closer to cleaner fuel specifications.

"The one plus is that it gives motorists the opportunity to buy latest technology vehicles. When you have a latest technology vehicle, you've got enhancements in fuel economy and optimum performance at all times. It's exclusive to Sasol and selectively at 78 service stations."
