Two people killed by trains
Metrorail in the Western Cape called on passengers not to cross or walk near railway lines.
CAPE TOWN - Metrorail in the Western Cape on Wednesday called on passengers not to cross or walk near railway lines.
Two people were killed in separate incidents when they were knocked down by an oncoming train at the Eerste River and Klapmuts stations on Tuesday.
A company employee is also recovering in hospital after being struck by a train on the same day.
Metrorail Regional Manager Mthuthuzeli Swartz says, "These deaths occur when people cross railway lines or trespass."
Earlier in November, three Cape Town commuters were killed when they were hit by a train while crossing the tracks.
