Banyana's 'below the belt' offer
Controversial dating website Ashley Madison has offered Banyana R9m to sponsor the team's kit.
JOHANNESBURG - Infamous social networking site AshleyMadison.com has offered the South African Football Association (Safa) around R9 million to replace Puma as Banyana Banyana's team kit sponsor.
The global site is geared towards men and women looking for extra-marital affairs and markets itself with the slogan "Life is short. Have an affair."
The site's CEO Noel Biderman approached Safa President Danny Jordaan with the idea, _ IOL_ reported on Monday.
In the sponsorship offer to Safa, Biderman said sportsmen are notorious for their extra-marital relationships.
"Sportsmen are famous for their cheating ways and we feel linking our dating site with this impressive club's performance historically and tying in to its future, will create a powerful partnership."
Safa is yet to respond to the offer.
