Heavy rains and possible flash floods are expected in parts of the Western Cape.
CAPE TOWN - Cape Town Disaster Risk Management on Friday said while the severe weather warning has been downgraded, teams remain on high alert.
Heavy rains and possible flash floods are expected in parts of the province over the next 24 hours.
Gale force winds of up to 70 kilometers per hour have also been predicted.
Affected areas include the Karoo and Overberg.
The city's Wilfred Solomons-Johannes says, "Although the risk is no longer that high for the Cape Peninsula, our disaster response teams remain activated and on standby."
