Pule Mabe appears in court
The NEC member and former ANCYL treasurer general faces money laundering and fraud charges.
JOHANNESBURG - Senior ANC member Pule Mabe has appeared in the Pretoria Magistrates Court after being questioned by police on Friday morning.
It is understood Mabe is facing charges of money laundering and fraud.
But the ANC's Keith Khoza says they have not been able to verify this.
"Pule was called to Pretoria today by the police. He was questioned about a trust and he then appeared in court. The next appearance will clarify the charges."
Mabe is a National Executive Committee member and the former ANC Youth League's treasurer general.
Another ANC member Andile Lungisa appeared in court earlier on charges of fraud and money laundering.
He is currently out on bail and denies the charges.
