WC traffic chief faces corruption probe

CAPE TOWN - An investigation is underway into corruption allegations against provincial Traffic Chief Kenny Africa, the Western Cape Community Safety Department said on Thursday.
A disgruntled employee levelled accusations against senior traffic officials after he was suspended.
Details of the allegations remain unclear.
The department's Greg Wagner says, "As with any allegations made with regards to corruption or fraud, the Western Cape government will launch an independent forensic investigation."
Africa says he will not comment on the probe.
