CAPE TOWN - City authorities say four of the five people injured in an explosion at Blue Route Mall in Tokai have been discharged from hospital.
The blast, which occurred on Saturday morning, took place inside the Spur restaurant and was caused by a can of cooking spray which ignited near a grill.
The City of Cape Town's Fire and Rescue Services' Theo Layne said, "After reviewing the CCTV footage our fire safety investigator determined that it was the canister of Spray and Cook that caused the explosion."
Some Spur staff members received trauma counselling shortly after the incident.
