More arrests in Montecasino murder case
Four suspects have been arrested for allegedly using Dustan Blom's credit card.
JOHANNESBURG - Four more people have been arrested for fraud in connection with the Montecasino murder case, Johannesburg police confirmed on Wednesday.
This brings to six the number of people arrested in the case.
Dustan Blom's decomposing body was found in the boot of a car at the Fourways complex.
The police's Lungelo Dlamini says the four fraud suspects were arrested last week.
This after they were found to have used Blom's credit card in the days following his September murder.
"Four suspects have been arrested for a fraud case which is linked to that murder."
The alleged fraudsters are expected to appear in court on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Jean-Pierre Malan and Maruschka Robinson appeared briefly in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning in connection with Blom's murder.
The case was postponed to January.
The state said it received the post-mortem report but was still waiting for a toxicology report.
Prosecutors are also still waiting for outstanding forensic evidence.
