'Investors will be protected'
Trade and Industry says investors will be protected in the new Promotion and Protection of Investment Bill.
CAPE TOWN - Concerns have been raised about the new Promotion and Protection of Investment Bill.
The Democratic Alliance (DA) says it does not provide enough legislative certainty for international investors.
The bill is replacing a series of bilateral treaties, which government has decided not to renew.
Some business organisations have claimed this could limit the rights of foreign investors to use foreign arbitration services.
But the Department of Trade and Industry's Director General Lionel October says investors will be protected.
