No major issues in Gr 12 exams
The only government intervention thus far has been in Bekkersdal.
JOHANNESBURG - Education governing body Umalusi says there have been no major problems at this year's matric exams.
Thousands of grade 12s wrote their first Mathematics paper on Friday and their second music paper.
The only government intervention thus far has been in Bekkersdal where about 500 matrics are writing exams at a secret camp due to violent protests that erupted there last week.
Umalusi CEO Mafu Rakometsi says, "We've got unregistered candidates pitching for exams or candidates reporting at wrong examinations centres. However, all these have been swiftly dealt with."
