Illegal operators causing Delft taxi violence
Robin Carlisle says illegal operators are to blame for the scourge of taxi violence in Delft.
CAPE TOWN - Western Cape Transport MEC Robin Carlisle claims illegal taxi operators are to blame for the resurgence in violence in Delft.
It's understood a commuter and taxi driver were shot and wounded in the area on Monday.
There's been tension among taxi associations for the past few months now, resulting in a number of killings.
Carlisle says illegal operators are now trying to derail a resolution that was signed last week by taxi associations in delft.
Earlier this month a man was shot and killed while travelling to Delft from Khayelitsha. He was caught in the crossfire between rival taxi associations.
