CAPE TOWN - Family members of the Ravensmead boy who was killed in an apparent satanic attack have gathered to pay tribute to him.

Lee Adams, aged 15, is being laid to rest today.

His decapitated body was found in an abandoned school in the area more than a week ago.

A 17-year-old suspect has since appeared in the Bellville Magistrate's Court in connection with his murder.

Police arrested him last week after Adams' head was found buried in the garden in front of his home.

Family, friends and community members have gathered at the Ravensmead Civic Centre to bid farewell to the boy they knew as a joker.

Adams' family is dressed in black and purple to symbolise his life.

His cousins fought back tears as they sang a song to pay tribute to his life.

They say their lives won't ever be the same without him as he always had a smile on his face.

Meanwhile some of his classmates say his death has left a huge gap at school as well as in their hearts.
