Telkom suspends CFO
The fixed-line operator confirmed CFO Jacques Schindehütte was suspended pending a hearing.
JOHANNESBURG - Telkom on Thursday suspended its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jacques Schindehütte pending a disciplinary hearing.
The company refused to divulge further details about the suspension.
The fixed-line operator did however say an independent law firm will investigate allegations made against Schindehütte.
Tech Central's Duncan McLeod says he spoke to Schindehütte a short while ago.
"He's not saying very much at the moment except that he was given the opportunity to resign. He declined to do so and chose to be suspended instead, saying, 'resigning would not be congruent with my value system.'"
