Ravensmead School to be demolished
Public Works says plans are not yet in place, but they are in talks to build a community day clinic.
CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape Public Works Department says it has a long-term plan to demolish a derelict Ravensmead school and turn it into a community day clinic.
The decapitated body of Lee Adams was found in the school last Thursday.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the murder.
The victim's head was found buried in the boy's front garden on Saturday night.
The provincial public works department's Al-Ameen Kafaar says the building will be destroyed next year.
"We don't have plans just yet because it's more of a case that we have to sit with the health department. We need to sit and work on the clinic's design and tell us how they want it to be built. But in the meantime, we're looking at fencing off the building completely."
