CAPE TOWN - Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi has offered medical circumcisions to male Members of Parliament (MPs).

The minister made the offer following the launch of an HIV counselling and testing campaign at Parliament on Tuesday.

Motsoaledi wants MPs to set an example by getting tested annually.

Other services on offer include screenings for tuberculosis, high blood pressure, obesity and medical circumcision.

He said, "As you know medical male circumcision is a critical strategy to decrease the HIV/Aids inception, as demonstrated in the number of clinical trials in South Africa and other countries on the continent."
