CAPE TOWN - Bredasdorp teenager Anene Booysen was dumped at the construction site where she was found, a policeman told the court on Tuesday.

The 17-year-old was raped, mutilated and left for dead in February.

Booysen was found by a security guard.

Suspect Johannes Kana's case continued in Swellendam on Tuesday.

K9 Unit police member Jerome Timmy told the court he and his sniffer dog inspected the crime scene just hours after the incident.

He told the court at first glance, possible blood splatter was found on two sticks.

There was also possible blood stains at a nearby house.

Drag marks could also be seen, Timmy said.

He told the court he shared his theory with the investigating officer.

On Monday, the judge ruled evidence collected when Kana pointed out the crime scene in February could not be used in court.

The judge found the officer failed to read Kana his rights verbatim.
