Limpopo child murder: search extended to Moz

JOHANNESBURG - A 33-year-old man who is allegedly behind the murder of his wife and one-year-old baby in Limpopo is still on the run and police have extended their search for him to Mozambique.

It's alleged the man killed his 30-year-old wife and baby girl with an axe in Mapuve Village in Giyani on Tuesday.

The police's Hangwani Mulaudzi said, "People are angry because the gruesome nature of the case made people realise that the man is dangerous, so the people are helping us with information."

Meanwhile, Limpopo police on Thursday called on the public to help them track down the suspect.

The police released an identikit of the suspect.

According to officials, the man uses the names Zacharia Shitlangu and Thomas Mpho Mohoutsi.

Mulaudzi says they haven't been able to determine the motive for the murders.
