Monte murder case sent to High Court
The two accused will now face charges of murder in the High Court.
JOHANNESBURG - The case against two people accused of murdering Johannesburg father Dustan Blom, whose body was found in the boot of his car at Montecasino, has been transferred to the High Court.
Blom's decomposing body was found at the casino in Fourways last month.
Security guards were patrolling the parking lot when they noticed a stench emanating from the car.
The car had been parked on the fourth floor of the casino for the entire weekend.
Former stripper Maruschka Robinson and Jean-Pierre Malan have been charged with the murder and also for allegedly withdrawing money from Blom's account.
Police say Robinson and Malan, an alleged drug trafficker, withdrew about R35,000 from Blom's bank account.
Malan has indicated he will not be seeking bail and has agreed to give the state his blood samples.
The motive for the murder is still unclear.
