CAPE TOWN - Cape Town residents can expect a wet couple of days, the South African Weather Service said on Thursday.
A cold front is expected to move across the Cape Peninsula later today, accompanied by cold temperatures, gale force winds and possible snowfall on high-lying areas.
The adverse weather conditions are expected to clear up by Saturday afternoon.
Senior forecaster Kate Turner says warmer weather is expected from next week.
"We are expecting a cold front to move in by this evening. Saturday, we are expecting some showers which we could clear out by late afternoon."
The Western Cape has been experiencing extreme weather conditions in recent weeks.
Over 30,000 people have been affected by floods.
