President Jacob Zuma has demanded that the ANC's Limpopo branch secure 90 percent in the next elections.
JOHANNESBURG - ANC President Jacob Zuma has demanded that the party's Limpopo branch secure 90 percent of the votes in next year's general election.
Zuma spoke at the grave site of former ANC youth league leader Peter Mokaba as part of the league's 69th birthday celebrations in Mankweng on Sunday.
Zuma told the youth league members at the grave site not to allow other political parties to mislead the ANC supporters.
"This province will always demand more than 90 percent. It's our province and nobody is going to make it anybody else's."
Zuma warned against opposition parties hijacking the revolution.
"At no point should this province be allowed to play a role that is opposite to where the broader movement it moving, even to border on reaction, to border on counter revolution."
