DURBAN - Bafana Bafana conquered Botswana in their vital World Cup qualifier match at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban today.

Bernard Parker made two strikes for South Africa, making the score 3- 1 in the 82nd minute and converting a penalty just before the 90 minute mark leaving the final score at 4-1 to South Africa.

In the 30th minute Kermit Erasmus scored the first goal for the team and Dean Furman netted his very first for Bafana on the stroke of half-time.

Furman was named man of the match.

But it was a bitter-sweet win for the South African side.

Because the Central African Republic (CAR) lost 1-2 Ethiopia, Bafana Bafana's dreams of going to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil are over.
