CAPE TOWN - Ajax Cape Town lost their first game at home 2-1 to Amazulu on Sunday afternoon.

The first goal of the match came from Ajax defender Cecil Lolo who headed the ball into his own net in the 11th minute. Carlington Nyadombo doubled Amazulu's lead early in the second half from a corner kick.

Ajax scored a consolation goal through Nathan Paulse's diving header in the final minute.

The win takes Amazulu to fourth on the Premier Soccer League (PSL) log.

Ajax are now in 12th place but have a game in hand.

The Usuthu win would have been a special one for manager Craig Roslee after being forced out of his job as the manager of Ajax in 2009.

In Sunday's other result the Free State derby between Bloemfontein Celtic and Free State Stars ended in a two all draw.

Both sides now have four points and are seventh and eighth respectively.

On Saturday, SuperSport United made it three wins from three matches when they beat Kaizer Chiefs 3-1 after coming back from a goal down.

Matsatsantsa remains at the top of the PSL log while Amakhosi are in ninth place.

In Saturday's other games, Maritzburg United and the University of Pretoria played to a goalless draw.

Polokwane City remains at the bottom of the log after losing 2-1 to Platinum Stars and Mamelodi Sundowns beat Golden Arrows 1-0.
