Lira to release a book
The multi-award winning songstress is penning a book to mark 10 years in the music industry.
JOHANNESBURG - Multi-award winning songstress Lira is set to release a book about her life in the music industry in October.
The afro-pop diva says the book will reflect on her trials and tribulations as she celebrates 10 years as a musician.
Lerato Molapo, known to her fans as Lira, has been in the music industry for a decade and to mark this milestone she has released an album called Rise Again.
Lira is also due to release a book in October, in which fans can get to know her better while reading about her journey.
Meanwhile, Lira became a victim of crime during a recent break-in at her home. The thieves made off with 12 of her statuettes.
The incident took place on 9 August while Lira and her husband were attending Women's Day celebration.
Lira says she forgives the men.
"I was basically robbed by people who are destitute and poor. Realising that brought a sense of forgiveness in my heart."
Five of the statuettes have since been recovered and while the case against the alleged thieves continues, Lira says her focus is on her career.
