JOHANNESBURG - Some South African men who attended the 'Not in My Name' rally said on Saturday, they have heeded the call to protect women and children against any form of violence.

The rally was held at the Johannesburg stadium on Saturday.

The campaign aims to encourage men of all ages to be more pro-active in dealing with the abuse of women and children.

Men were there to lend their voice to the cause, saying, "We must work together with women as brothers and sisters.

"We can't expect women to fight for themselves, while we are the perpetrators of the violence against women."
