DA welcomes support of business
The DA has welcomed government support of productive business sectors.
CAPE TOWN - The Democratic Alliance (DA) has welcomed the trade and industry minister's directive to agencies in light of the National Empowernment Fund's loan to Ndalo Luxury Ventures.
The R34 million loan was used to open a high-end fashion store in Johannesburg.
The Luminance Store, co-owned by business woman Khanyi Dhlomo, stocks an array of luxury imported brands as well as locally-produced products.
Addressing MP's yesterday Minister Rob Davies said in future, government money should be spent on supporting the productive sectors of the economy.
"The directive I think will clarify where the DTI needs to be deployed, its efforts and resources when it comes to supporting particular business ventures."
