Nurses want govt to resolve grievances
Nursing union Denosa have raised issues such as poor working conditions.
CAPE TOWN - Nursing union, Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa (Denosa), and medical body, South African Medical Association, are urging government to settle a host of grievances they've raised about healthcare in the country.
The two organisations have launched a campaign to try and improve the quality of healthcare.
Among the issues they've raised are working conditions and dealing with a shortage of medical staff.
Denosa's Bongani Lose said, "It's aimed at highlighting some of the challenges that nurses and doctors face in the various institutions, in the public health sector specifically, which makes it difficult for them to do their jobs."
