CAPE TOWN - A Branislav Ivanovic header gave Chelsea a 2-1 win over Aston Villa in the English Premier League on Wednesday night.

That's two wins from two games played for the Blues.

In the Champions League qualification playoff, Arsenal comfortably beat Fenerbache 3 - 0 in the first leg in Istanbul, with goals coming from Kieran Gibbs, Aaron Ramsey and a penalty by Oliver Giroud.

The win comes amid reports of manager Arsene Wenger being linked with a number of big-money moves.

Wenger has been facing a lot of criticism for not signing any big name players to the club, despite having the funds available to do so.

The situation was compounded when Arsenal went down 3 - 1 to Aston Villa in their Premier League opener at the weekend.

In other EPL news, Brazilian Willian underwent a medical at Tottenham ahead of a proposed £30 million move.

The move comes as Gareth Bale seems closer and closer to a move to Real Madrid.

In the Spanish Super Cup 1st leg, Neymar scored his first competitive goal for Barcelona as they drew 1 -1 with Atletico Madrid.
