JOHANNESBURG - Blue Bulls coach Pine Pienaar has made two changes to his team to face the Lions this weekend in the Currie Cup competition.

Ruan Snyman will start at scrumhalf ahead of Rudy Paige while Bongi Mbonambi replaces the injured Callie Visagie at hooker.

Bandise Maku was also named in the Bulls' match day squad for the first time since 2010 after moving to the Lions and playing Super Rugby for the Southern Kings this year.

Another former Kings' player could also make his debut for the Bulls as flanker Jacques Engelbrecht replaces the injured Jean Cook on the bench.

The Bulls will want to improve on their scrappy 15-9 win over Griquas last weekend while the Lions will be desperate for a win after suffering defeats in their opening two matches.

The match kicks off at 5:05 pm at Loftus Versfeld.
