Tokelo Rantie looked sharp for South Africa, but the African Champions easily dealt with the hosts.
Bafana are next in action on Saturday as they take on Burkina Faso as part of the Mandela Day Celebrations at the FNB Stadium in Soweto.
That is not a FIFA sanctioned tie, so not all of the overseas players in particular are set to be named.
In other international action, 31-year-old Rickie Lambert scored with his first touch in international football as England beat Scotland 3-2 at Wembley.
Elsewhere, Egypt beat Malawi 3-0, Portugal and the Netherlands finished 1-1, Argentina beat Italy 2-1, Germany drew 3-3 with Paraguay and an own goal saw Switzerland beat Brazil 1-0.
