Changes to PSL calendar

Some PSL games will be moved a week earlier due to the MTN8 competition.

JOHANNESBURG - The Premier Soccer League (PSL) says the dates of the MTN8 semifinals will force some fixture movements in the ABSA Premiership league calendar.

The first leg between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will take place on 24 August at the FNB Stadium, with the second leg to be played a month later at Orlando Stadium.

In the other semifinal, Platinum Stars will play Bidvest Wits at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on 25 August while their second leg will take place at Millpark on 24 September.

PSL General Manager of Football Derek Blanckensee says, "We did have big features on the 24th so we had to move those a week earlier. The final goes onto 28 September and we did have fixtures there so those fixtures will also be played a week earlier."
