Singer Lira's home robbed
Singer Lira devastated at the loss of several valuable items.
JOHANNESBURG - The home of singer Lira has been robbed.
The Afro Soul singer's Joburg home was burgled last night while she and her husband were attending a Women's Day function in the South of Johannesburg.
10 Sama statuettes along with many other valuables were stolen.
Lira's husband Robin Kohl says she is devastated.
"She is quite heart-sore considering that the items were of huge sentimental value, seven year's worth of accolades, so she is very emotional at the moment."
This comes after the Milnerton home of Desmond Tutu and his wife was robbed last week. The Archibishop Emeritus and his wife were asleep while the burglars took various small items including keys and remotes.
