Three suspects have been arrested for dealing in illegal substances and money laundering.
JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng police have arrested three suspects for possession of drugs on Johannesburg's East Rand.
Police said on Thursday they raided a block of flats in Primrose, part of which was being used as a drug den.
More than R200,000 in cash and drugs including cat, heroin and ecstasy with an estimated value of more than R15,000 was confiscated.
Gauteng police's Lieutenant Colonel Katlego Mogale said the suspects have been charged with money laundering as well as possession and dealing in illegal drugs.
"Police in Primrose received information, which they followed up on. It led them to a flat where the suspects were arrested. They will be appearing in the Germiston Magistrate's Court soon."
Meanwhile, a suspected drug manufacturer was arrested on Tuesday night.
The 25-year-old male was arrested in Mogale City, west of Johannesburg.
Police found drugs such as crystal meth and cat as well as chemicals used to manufacture drugs.
