CAPE TOWN - Proteas batsman, JP Duminy was named "Man of the Series" at the conclusion of the T20 series against Sri Lanka on Tuesday.

The Proteas won the three match series 2 - 1, despite losing the final game in Hambantota.

Batting first, Proteas captain Faf du Plessis scored 85 and Duminy 51 not out as they reached 163 for 3 in their 20 overs.

The Sri Lankans though romped home to victory, winning by six wickets.

Tilakaratne Dilshan finished on 74 not out.

Duminy scored 132 runs in the three matches, scoring 51 runs in the first T20 to help South Africa seal victory in that game.
