Grassy Park 'drug den' torched
One person was been shot dead when a house was attacked and allegedly petrol bombed overnight.
CAPE TOWN - One person has been shot dead and a suspected drug den torched in Grassy Park.
While details remain unclear it's understood a house in Sixth Avenue was attacked on Tuesday night and allegedly petrol bombed.
The police's Tembinkosi Kinana said, "We're investigating a case of arson and murder. Any acts of lawlessness cannot be allowed. No one is allowed to take the law into their own hands."
The Grassy Park Community Policing Forum (CPF)'s Phillip Bam has told Eyewitness News this isn't the first time the suspected drug den has been targeted.
"The community gets frustrated with police inaction. In that particular area the CPF has had continuous complaints about that particular premises and others in the Sixth Avenue area as well."
No arrests have been made.
Last week a car dealership and a house in Surrey Estate were targeted.
