Amakhosi take on Swaziland Swallows
Champions Kaizer Chiefs start their build up to the new Absa Premiership season.
JOHANNESBURG - PSL champions Kaizer Chiefs will take on Swaziland's Mbabane Swallows in Nelspruit on Saturday following the withdrawal of Egypt's Ismaily Sporting Club.
Chiefs Communication Manager Vina Maphosa says the match against the Swaziland team will not be their official pre-season opener.
"We've got a practice match with Mbabane Swallows from Swaziland in Nelspruit on Saturday at 2:30pm," he said.
"It is not billed at the level of a top friendly game. The real opening match is the Gauteng Challenge Cup where we will be taking on the winner of the Celtic and Pretoria University match."
The AmaKhosi were scheduled to open their pre-season preparations with a match against Ismaily but the team couldn't travel to South Africa due to political unrest in Egypt.
