Zuma visits Madiba again
According to a statement released by the Presidency, Mandela continues to respond to treatment.
PRETORIA - President Jacob Zuma visited the Mediclinic Heart Hospital in Pretoria for the second time in 24 hours on Thursday.
He was visiting former president Nelson Mandela who has entered his fifth week in the hospital, battling an ongoing lung infection.
On Wednesday night, The Presidency released an update on Madiba's health saying he was responding to treatment but remained in a critical but stable condition.
Meanwhile, South Africans are preparing to celebrate Mandela's 95th birthday next week on 18 July.
Many people will give 67 minutes of their time to help others, while the Ekurhuleni municipality announced on Monday it had arranged a team of mountain climbers to summit Kilimanjaro in honour of Madiba.
