JOHANNESBURG - Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed they have signed Knowledge Musona from German team TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on a one-year loan, as the Amakhosi look to bolster their squad in their bid to retain their Absa Premiership title.

The 23-year-old is due to join his new team-mates on Saturday, just two years after leaving the club to play in the German Bundesliga.

The forward still has a contract with Hoffenheim that runs through to 2016 but the Amakhosi has chosen to bring him back to the Premier Soccer League for the coming season.

Chiefs' team manager Bobby Motaung says he knows Musona will add value to the team.

"We felt like we needed to bring him back, in terms of bolstering the team," said Motaung.

"We saw an opportunity and Hoffenheim agreed to terms with us and the player agreed to terms with us. We're delighted because when he left we felt it was too soon, but the deal was there and we had to let the player go."
