Trevor Noah honours Madiba
Noah’s show in new York celebrates Madiba's legacy.
NEW YORK - Comedian Trevor Noah, who's currently performing in New York, says South Africans should celebrate Madiba's legacy.
The award-winning entertainer's production has been so successful, it's been running for a month longer than it was initially meant to.
Noah's show features an impersonation of Madiba and he says it's part of celebrating the icon.
"I get that people are sad and I understand, but the truth is we're more afraid of him passing than he is. He's somebody's grandfather now and not our guy, his legacy is ours and that's what we should focus on, keeping that alive."
Noah's show which is drawing much applause ends this week.
