CAPE TOWN - The Stormers will be playing for nothing else but pride when they clash with the Cheetahs in a local Super Rugby derby on Saturday.

The Cape franchise is languishing near the foot end of the Super Rugby log, having lost seven of their 13 games this season.

The Cheetahs, on the other hand, have a lot more to play for as they are fifth on the log still in contention for a play-off spot.

Stormers coach Allister Coetzee says they want to end the season on a high.

"A lot of people might think there's nothing to play for but this is a very proud Stormers side. We've lost only one game at home this year and we want to make sure that we continue to win our home games."

The Stormers team to face the Cheetahs will be announced later on Wednesday.

The game kicks off at 7:15pm at Newlands Stadium.
