Baby Boks to face Russia
Springbok Sevens Coach Paul Treu hopes experienced players will help his team in Russia.
CAPE TOWN - Talented youngsters Cheslin Kolbe and Seabelo Senatla are expected to play important roles for the Blitz Bokke at the Sevens Rugby World Cup in Moscow on Friday.
The pair has joined the team in Russia after playing for the Baby Boks at the Junior World Cup in France.
Coach Paul Treu says he is expecting a lot from the two promising players.
"We are expecting a solid performance from them. However, it's going to be important to manage them during the week. They played their last game on Sunday so it's going to be important to integrate them slowly into the team. Hopefully, they are going to play well over the weekend."
Senatla says he is excited to be representing South Africa at a second world cup in a matter of weeks.
"I think I'm very blessed and privileged to be able to play two consecutive world cups. It's a wonderful opportunity for us and hopefully we'll bring it home."
South Africa will face Russia on Saturday at 7:15pm.
