ANC expels Floyd Shivambu
The ANC says the former ANCYL spokesperson has been working with Julius Malema.
JOHANNESBURG - The ruling party's national task team that runs the ANC Youth League (ANCYL) on Tuesday said it has now officially expelled former spokesperson Floyd Shivambu.
Team convenor Mzwandile Masina said Shivambu defined himself as an outsider of both the League and the ANC through his actions.
In 2012, Shivambu was suspended from the party for three years following the expulsion of ANCYL leader Julius Malema.
It is understood Shivambu has been working with Malema, who has confirmed he is creating a new political formation called "Economic Freedom Fighters".
