CAPE TOWN - Western Cape police said on Sunday they are still searching for eight-year-old Kiana Williams, who went missing in Grassy Park nearly two weeks ago.

The little girl was last seen playing with friends at the Phumlani Village informal settlement.

Her mother told police she realised her daughter was missing when she returned home after giving birth saying she left her daughter in the care of her mother and boyfriend.

Meanwhile learners and staff at Kiana's school, Zeekoevlei Primary, told Eyewitness News they are continuing to pray for her safe return.

Her teacher Claresaa Coetzee said they are trying to stay positive.

"It's so confusing and difficult to comprehend. We just cannot understand. The big question mark is always, 'how come nobody saw anything?' there's always nothing. We as colleagues also went on a search and we just came up with nothing."
