Power cuts not loadshedding
The City of Tshwane says power cuts in Centurion are due to account payments and not loadshedding.
JOHANNESBURG - The City of Tshwane said on Saturday there are no blackout or loadshedding problems in the region.
Various reports say residents, mainly in the Centurion area, have been left without electricity since Thursday afternoon.
The City of Tshwane said the electricity disconnections are related to account issues but said that is was aware of power cuts in certain suburbs.
The city's Blessing Manale said electricity will be supplied this weekend but power will been disconnected again on Monday for residents with outstanding accounts.
Manale said residents without electricity have been advised to phone the city's call centre.
"We want to urge those whose accounts are up to date and have been disconnected, to call the city's call centre number and they will be connected."
