JOHANNESBURG - Chris Hani's widow Limpho says she the two women claiming to be the daughters of her late husband need to provide proof.

She says she heard about these alleged children just like every other South African through the media and is adamant that the women are lying.

The widow says that it is suspicious that these women will not reveal who their mother is.

She is demanding that they take a paternity test.

"I want them to go for a DNA test and stop making these allegations."

Limpho says as Hani's wife she has to protect her husband's name from these fraudulent claims.

"I think they are taking it too far. Doing stupid things in my husband's name, saying they are dumping the ANC, who are they?"

Meanwhile, Vanessa Hani has joined Mamphela Ramphele's political party Agang, saying the ANC has betrayed her father's legacy.

Hani's widow says Vanessa is using her husband's name to 'dump' the ANC.

Hani was assassinated in 1993 outside his home in Boksburg.

Janusz WaluĊ› and Clive Derby-Lewis are serving life terms for his murder.
