Two killed in Centurion crash

JOHANNESBURG/CAPE TOWN - Two people have died in an accident involving three cars, a motorcycle and a pedestrian in Centurion, Pretoria.

It is still unknown what caused Monday morning's crash.

A pedestrian and passenger died as a result of the impact.

Netcare 911's Santi Steinmann said, "A driver of one of the vehicles sustained critical injuries and the second driver was seriously injured. The cause of the accident is being investigated."

All of the injured were treated on scene and transported to local hospitals.

WESTERN CAPE

An oil tanker has overturned on the N1 near the Koeberg Interchange in Cape Town, causing major traffic delays.

City traffic's Maxine Jordaan said the N1 leading into the central business district has been temporarily closed to traffic.

"Motorists are advised to use alternative routes such as the N2 into the city, as well as Voortrekker Road to avoid delays."
